FACILITIES PLANNING

An architect or licensed engineer shall be retained to prepare plans and specifications for all capital improvements, public works construction or repairs and renovations of existing public works or facilities, wherein the estimated cost equals or exceeds the amount now stipulated or as hereinafter amended by law to require advertisement for sealed bids.

In addition but not limited to the following, said engineer or architect shall provide for advertisement and make recommendations to the Superintendent and School Board regarding acceptance of bids, awarding of contracts, bid bonds, and performance bonds.  He/she shall also provide construction inspection and recommend approval of payments and final acceptance to the School Board.
