COMMUNITY RELATIONS

The East Feliciana Parish School Board recognizes that the support of the community must be based upon their knowledge of, their understanding about, and their participation in the goals and efforts of the school system.  Therefore, the Board and members of the professional staff shall be encouraged to take an active part in the affairs of the community.  The schools and the communities of East Feliciana Parish should not be considered separate and apart, but as working as a unified whole in the educational process.  Community support should be a paramount concern of the Board and all employees.

The strengths and needs of schools and the services available to the community should be positively and regularly conveyed to the public through news media releases, speaking engagements by the Superintendent and staff to civic and community groups, and other means of communication.
