GIFTED STUDENT PROGRAM

The East Feliciana Parish School Board strives to meet the educational needs of all students.  In meeting this concept, the district recognizes the unique characteristics of gifted children and further recognizes the need to develop special programs to respond to their individual abilities and competencies.

The State of Louisiana and the East Feliciana Parish School Board has established a gifted and talented program in accordance with Bulletin 1706, Regulations for the Implementation of the Exceptional Children's Act.  Guidelines for screening, testing, and evaluating gifted students, as well as other program aspects and instruction guidelines are enumerated in the School Board's Special Education Handbook.
