CLASS RANKINGS

The East Feliciana Parish School Board, in order for class rankings to be determined on a uniform and consistent basis throughout the schools of East Feliciana Parish, shall identify and certify the achievement of those students in each graduating class.  Each school shall determine the student rank in each graduating class by dividing the total number of quality points earned by each student by the total number of high school credits completed.  Foreign exchange students shall not be counted as members of the graduating class for the purpose of class rankings.

RANKING FOR HONORS

Ranking for valedictorian and salutatorian students shall be determined by the cumulative averages of all grades received for academic core courses.  To be considered for valedictorian, salutatorian, or honor graduate, students shall have completed the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education Core Curriculum (for those students who entered high school prior to August, 2008) or the Louisiana Core 4 Curriculum (for those students entering high school in August, 2008 or thereafter.)

To be considered for valedictorian or salutatorian, a student must be enrolled in the school from which he/she is graduating for his/her entire junior and senior year.
