PROCEEDINGS OF THE PARISH SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF EAST FELICIANA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A PUBLIC HEARING PRIOR TO THE REGULAR MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 2, 2010
PUBLIC NOTICE
A Budget Hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at 4:30 P.M., Central standard time at the East Feliciana Parish School Board Central Office Board Room, located at 12732 Silliman Street, Town of Clinton, Louisiana, for interested citizens of East Feliciana Parish. The purpose of this hearing is to review the proposed amendments of the operating budget for the year ending June 30, 2010.
The proposed budget may be examined Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the East Feliciana Parish School Board Central Office. Interested citizens will have the opportunity to give written or oral comment.

There were present: School Board Members J. Curtis Jelks and Anthony ”Tony” Rouchon. Absent: Board Members Mitchell Harrell, Oliver Wingfield, Michael Bradford, Clay Barksdale, Willie M. Jackson, Henry C. Howell, IV and Matthew Peterson. Board Member Leon ”Sonny” Franklin joined the public hearing at 4:32:25 P.M. Board Members Richard Terrell and Elizabeth ”Beth” Dawson joined the public hearing at 4:35:06 P.M. Other attendees: Douglas Beauchamp, Jr., Superintendent, Irma Lee Bendily, Administrative Assistant, Janice Betrece, Accountant III, James Bell, Jr., Supervisor and Tommy J. LeJeune, C.P.A., Member of Faulk & Winkler LLC, Certified Public Accountants.
Board President J. Curtis Jelks convened the Public Hearing according to the notice as set out above. Board President Jelks opened the meeting and turned the floor over to Board Member Anthony ”Tony” Rouchon who turned the floor over to Tommy J. LeJeune, C.P.A., Member of Faulk & Winkler LLC, Certified Public Accountants, for his presentation. Board President Jelks then opened the floor for questions and/or comments. After some public discussion by Board Member Terrell and Accountant III Betrece, along with responses from C.P.A. LeJeune and Superintendent Beauchamp, Board President Jelks then asked for any public comment before closing the public hearing. Receiving none, Board President Jelks then proceeded to close the public hearing. Board Members in attendance concurred.
Board President Jelks then closed the public hearing at 4:40:37 P.M.
There being no further business to come before the Board, Board President Jelks adjourned until the next regular meeting unless called into special session by the President.
