MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

OF THE EAST FELICIANA PARISH SCHOOL BOARD

HELD March 15, 2022

The East Feliciana Parish School Board (EFPSB) met for a regular session at the EFPSB office at 12732 Silliman Street, Clinton, Louisiana 70722 on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

Keisha L. Netterville, Superintendent of the EFPSB, called the meeting to order at 5:00p.m. Prayer led by Board President Richard Terrell and pledge said in unison. The attendance status of board members was as follows:

Agenda Approved

Board Member Michael Bradford made a motion to approve the agenda with addendums and Board Member Joyce Kent seconded the motion. The motion to approve the agenda of the March 2, 2021 Regular Board Meeting passed with no opposition.

Minutes Approved

Board Member Michael Bradford moved to approve the minutes of the February 1, 2022 Regular Board Meeting and Board Member Joyce Kent seconded the motion. The motion to approve the minutes passed with no opposition.

Special Recognitions

Presentation of the Milken Award was made to Ms. Laura Laiche, Mentor Teacher at Slaughter Elementary School.

Presentations made for East Feliciana Middle for Employee of the month and from all schools for the 2022 Students of the Year.

Communications/Reports

A moment of silence taken for all expressions of sympathy.

Sales Tax Collection Report

The Sales Tax Collection Report was received by the Board.

The Superintendent's Report presented as follows:

The BRAG'S 2026 Campaign Launch Celebration

EF Accelerate Spring and Summer Student Enrichment Programs

The Board received the Personnel Report.

Reimagine School System Grant Initiative.

New Business

The Board received, reviewed and adopted the 2022-2023 School Year/Fiscal Year Calendars.

The Board received and reviewed written request for use of facilities by the LA Tigers AAU Basketball Team (Non-Profit) to use East Feliciana Middle School Gym from March 15, 2022 through August 01, 2022, Monday through Thursday from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. Further request waiver of fees.

The Board received and reviewed written request for use of facilities by the Slaughter Community Charter School to use East Feliciana Middle School's track on Monday's from 9:00am until 10:15am for practice. Further request waiver of fees.

The Board received and reviewed written request for use of facilities by the East Feliciana Council on Aging to use the Professional Development Center parking lot, gym, sanctuary, and restrooms on May 06, 2022, from 9:30am until 1:30pm for their Annual Outreach Picnic. Further request waiver of fees.

The Board received information on the LSBA Capital Conference held on April 26, 2022, in Baton Rouge, LA.

The Board received, reviewed and approved the Category 2 E-Rate grant to Transformyx.

Board Member Michael Bradford made the motion to accept all items and Board Member Joyce Kent seconded the motion. Motion passed with no oppositions.

Adjournment

President Terrell moved to adjourn and a motion made by Board Member Michael Bradford and second by Board Member J. Kent. The March 15, 2022 Regular Board meeting ended at 5:36 p.m.
