MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
OF THE EAST FELICIANA PARISH SCHOOL BOARD
HELD July 5, 2022
The East Feliciana Parish School Board (EFPSB) met for a regular session at the EFPSB office at 12732 Silliman Street, Clinton, Louisiana 70722 on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
Keisha L. Netterville, Superintendent of the EFPSB, called the meeting to order at 5:00p.m. Prayer led by Board President Richard Terrell and pledge said in unison. The attendance status of board members was as follows:

Agenda Approved
Board Member Michael Bradford made a motion to approve the agenda with addition of item 6 D. Old Business and Board member Joyce Kent seconded the motion. The motion to approve the agenda of the July 5, 2022 Regular Board Meeting passed with no opposition.
Minutes Approved
Board Member Michael Bradford moved to approve the minutes of the June 14, 2022 Regular Board Meeting. Board Member Joyce Kent seconded the motion. The motion to approve the minutes passed with no opposition.

Sales Tax Collection Report
The Sales Tax Collection Report was received by the Board.
Superintendent's Report
The Superintendent's Report presented as follows:
The Board received the Personnel Report (FOR INFORAMTION ONLY)
Old Business
The Board received and review the Annual Charter School Review for the 2021-2022 school year. Dr. K. Roddy read the report.
The Board took into consideration of a request to authorize the Superintendent and the Board President to initiate a charter contract for the continued operation of Slaughter Community Chatter School effective July 1, 2022. The motion to accept was made by Board Member Michael Bradford and seconded by Board Member Paul Kent. Board Member Rufus Nesbitt abstained from the vote. The motion passed.
The Board accepted the revision to the 2022-2023 School Calendar Required Instructional Minutes as per Bulletin 741. The motion to accept was made by Board Member Michael Bradford and seconded by Board Member Joyce Kent.
New Business
The Board received a presentation on a four-year savings plan from Johnson Controls.
The Board received and accepted notice of resignation from Board Member Emily Hurst (District 4). The motion to accept was made by Board Member Michael Bradford and seconded by Board Member Joyce Kent.
The board received the Bid Opening Committee report that was given by Board Member and Chairperson Paul Kent. The Bid Opening Committee met on June 23, 2022 at 1:30pm to receive sealed bids on Fiscal Agent for 2022-2023 and sealed bids on Bread and Bread Product, Food Items, Milk and Milk Products, Produce, Small Equipment, Large Equipment, Pest Control and Cleaning Supplies, Paper Goods and Disposables for the 2022-2023 school year. The bids were received and Chairperson Paul Kent turned all items over to the Superintendent and recommend they be sent to the full board for approval. The board also received the committee report from the meeting held on July 5, 2022 at 1:30 pm to receive sealed bids for land leases for the following:
1.184.7 acres in Section 16, Township 3 South, Range 2 East (known as the "Plank Road Tract") Hunting Lease.
2.167.95 acres in Section 16, Township 3 South. Range 3 East (known as the "Pace Road Tract") Hunting Lease.
3.33.97 acres, Sections 40 & 61, T4S-R1E, 3129 Church Street, Town of Slaughter Agricultural, grass cutting, and general upkeep.
The committee received two sealed bids for item 1 and the bid was awarded to Mr. Tyler Martinez. Chairperson Paul Kent turned it over to the Superintendent and it was recommended to be sent to the full board for approval.
This information was presented at the regular board meeting and the motion was made by Board Member Michael Bradford to accept and seconded by Board Member Joyce Kent, with the option to re-advertise for the other sections in which a bid was not received for. The motion passed with no opposition.
Adjournment
President Terrell moved to adjourn and a motion made by Board Member Michael Bradford and second by Board Member Joyce Kent. The July 5, 2022 Regular Board meeting ended at 5:52 p.m.
